Canvas Iteration Slides
Make exploratory boards for creative direction, workshop synthesis, concept pitches and visual research: each page is an addressed board on a faint drafting grid with crop marks, condensed capitals, staggered specimen plates, a signal field, a verdict with evidence and a pinboard of stage cards, so feedback can name a board and replace or branch it.
Bring the direction or question, the audience, the findings and quotes to use exactly and the board count; pictures optional. The Skill returns one offline HTML deck that edits in the browser and exports editable PowerPoint.
How it works
Brief and sequence
Your Agent asks for the topic, the audience, what should happen after the talk, the facts and numbers to use exactly and the page count, then gives every page one layout and picks one palette.
Pictures and build
Without your own pictures it describes them in plates.json and draws them with plate-art.py, writes plan.json and settings.json, then runs kit.py compose, apply-palette.py, make-deck.py and verify-deck.py to build one offline HTML file.
Look and export
It opens every page in a browser and checks wraps, overlaps and labels, tries edit, undo, save and present, then exports PowerPoint and runs verify-pptx.py against the deck.
Frequently asked questions
Is the PowerPoint really editable?
Yes. Titles, labels, captions, signal labels, evidence figures and stage cards are native text and shapes, with speaker notes. The plates are separate pictures. The drafting grid is one transparent picture of lines behind the native objects and can be deleted. In the signal field the rings, links and nodes are one picture and the labels are editable text.
Where do the pictures come from?
From you first. Otherwise the bundled plate-art.py draws specimen plates from plates.json in seven abstract patterns (hatch, halftone, contour, weave, stipple, bands, blocks) in the palette colours. Output is deterministic and two entries that draw the same plate are refused. It uses only the Python standard library and calls no model or image service.
How do I iterate on a board?
Every board shows its address, such as Board 03 / 08, so feedback can name it. Replace a board by keeping its id and refining the copy, or branch it by adding a new id next to the original and compare the two.
What are the known limits?
The connector to the top-left signal passes through that signal's note. In tight display leading a comma at the end of a line can dip into the next line. Install Big Shoulders Display, Archivo and Chivo Mono (SIL OFL) for matching line breaks in PowerPoint. Layout geometry is fixed and long Chinese titles break wherever the line ends.
What was tested?
Both example decks were built from a fresh unzip of the package. Every page was inspected in Chrome and in a LibreOffice render of the exported PowerPoint, 31 of 32 browser interaction checks passed on each deck (one harness check placed a dragged paragraph in the innermost box), and python-pptx edits survived save and reopen. PowerPoint, Keynote and WPS were not opened.
