Byzantine Mosaic
Sheet-driven wall-mosaic films — a flat motif cartoon is laid in hand-cut tesserae along every contour (andamento), with mortar grout, bevelled tile edges, a lime setting bed with sinopia underdrawing, glinting gold smalti, and a raking light pass. One JSON sheet drives the film.
How it works
Author a JSON sheet: motifs in wall space, then camera keys the film rides
Set palette and ground; the engine lays figure first, then robe, halo, letters, the gold sweep and the border
Build with scripts/build.mjs, iterate on stills, then render the film
