Cross-Stitch Sampler

Sheet-driven counted cross-stitch films — cream aida stretched in a wooden hoop fills cell by cell, every cell an X of two-strand floss with sheen and twist ridges, stitches laid Danish-method (half pass then cross-back), backstitch outlines traced after, a parked needle trailing floss to the latest stitch. One JSON sheet drives the film.

Cross-Stitch Sampler

How it works

  1. Author a JSON sheet: blocks in grid cells with per-group stitch windows

  2. Pick the cloth palette, hoop and camera keys; outline the motifs that should get backstitch

  3. Build with scripts/build.mjs, iterate on stills, then render the film
