Repo History Journey

A deterministic hand-drawn film of how a repository grew up. A bird hatches from an egg on a winding branch — the timeline — and journeys left to right while the camera follows and never cuts; milestone stops hang as beads, each labeled with a real commit hash, date and a one-line note. A seam event inks the pencil-sketch page over from a chosen date on.

How it works

  1. Author one JSON sheet: milestones, nest, camera keys, ink-seam date and finish

  2. build.mjs validates the sheet and inlines the canvas engine + fonts into one page

  3. render.mjs captures the page headlessly and writes a silent MP4 plus a report
