Sketchbook Film

Bring photographed sketchbook drawings to life as a short film with cut-out characters, ink lettering and a score.

Sketchbook Film

Turn photographed sketchbook pages into a hand-drawn short film with cut-out characters, ink lettering and a procedural score.

How it works

  1. Cut out the drawings

Your Agent finds each drawing on the page and lifts it off the paper.

  2. Write the film

Scenes, motion and hand-lettered titles are written from the templates.

  3. Render and check

The film is rendered with its score, loudness is checked and a report is written.

Frequently asked questions

Is this one-click photo-to-film?

No. It is an Agent authoring workflow: your Agent picks the cast, timing and text in film.json, and writes code only for bespoke shots. The templates are a data-driven path, not an automatic film generator.

What do I need?

Node.js 22+ and FFmpeg. Run npm ci inside the Skill folder to install @napi-rs/canvas and sharp; no browser. The vision step uses the SandBase CLI and sends downscaled page images to the selected SandBase model; use --agent to keep pages local and let your Agent identify the drawings.

Audio and validation?

Agent authoring workflow with a data-driven template path. Two fresh renders from the packaged Skill; demo sketch pages are AI-generated; vision step: SandBase; online run not offered; procedural score, listening acceptance pending.
