Window Papercut Light

Chinese window-flower paper-cut films: jointed red cut-outs on layered paper grounds, a fold-cut-unfold rosette whose holes let the backlight through, figures stepping on twelves and a projected pattern onto the ground. One JSON sheet renders a silent deterministic MP4.

Window Papercut Light

How it works

  1. Author a sheet.json or adapt one via scripts/make-sheet.mjs (lanterns or plum-blossom)

  2. Build with scripts/build.mjs and preview with scripts/stills.mjs

  3. Render with scripts/render.mjs to a silent h264 mp4 plus a verified report
