3D Chess Sanctum
A playable 3D chess game in your browser, in a setting of your choice: a moonlit courtyard, a candle-lit hall or a frozen lake at dawn. Sculpted stone armies walk, fight and shatter; every capture cuts to a duel shot and the losing king topples.
Bring a setting, and optionally the two armies, the light and the props around the board. The Skill returns a downloadable Skill (theme-driven chess engine, set builder, CC0 props, verification) and three playable example games.
How it works
The meta prompt goes to your coding agent; it copies the reference game and edits only the theme: the set, the materials, the light and the copy.
CC0 models are packed into the theme with one command each, simplified when they are heavy; anything else is drawn from primitives.
Verify headlessly: select, move, the AI reply, a capture, checkmate, every view, phone taps, no network, then one self-contained HTML file.
Frequently asked questions
Does it call any model or need a key?
No. The Skill gives your agent a prompt, lessons and a reference scene; the scene itself makes no network calls.
Why is the demo sandboxed?
The frame has an opaque origin and no network access, so the scene can’t read anything from this page or reach the internet.
How strong is the AI?
It looks one move ahead: captures, checks, the centre and hanging pieces. It is a sparring partner, not a chess engine. En passant is not implemented and pawns always promote to a queen.
Can I change the pieces?
A theme changes their materials: jade, lacquer, crystal, obsidian. The sculpted, animated statues are shared; replacing them needs models with the same skeleton and the Idle, Move, Attack and Shatter clips.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes: tap a piece, then a square; one finger orbits, two pan, pinch zooms. It has been verified under touch emulation, not on real devices.
Why is there no online generation?
Building a new scene needs a model key inside the sandbox, which the backend doesn’t support yet. Run the Skill with your own agent for now.
