Iso Borough: A Pocket Isometric City-Builder

Grow a settlement into a metropolis before the charter runs out, in one small offline HTML file: lay roads, zone housing, shops and plants, keep water tanks within 3 tiles and parks within 2, and let Next Day settle growth, tax, upkeep and a five-rank ladder. Every tile is drawn in code with Canvas 2D — no sprites.

Iso Borough: A Pocket Isometric City-Builder

Bring the grid and the tile set, the zones and the economy, and optionally the rank ladder, the day structure, the palette and the UI text. The Skill returns a downloadable Skill (the city-builder project, a customize guide, headless verification) and one playable example charter.

How it works

  1. Your coding agent copies the working game and follows the customize guide: roads and coverage, housing / shop / plant zones, treasury, population, mood and upkeep, the rank ladder and the synth audio.

  2. The published example is a tuned economy loop, not a sandbox toy: lay roads, zone land, keep services in coverage and grow a settlement into a metropolis before the 45-day charter runs out.

  3. The game is played headlessly under the sandbox policy: menu, roads placed, a house zone, a denied zone, a water tank, a settled day, pause and mute, the Chinese UI and a phone build.

Frequently asked questions

Does it call a model or need a key?

No. The Skill gives your agent a working game, a customize guide and verification; the game itself makes no network calls and calls no model.

Why is the demo sandboxed?

The frame has an opaque origin and no network access, so the scene can’t read anything from this page or reach the internet.

Is the game bilingual?

Yes. Both the page and the game’s own UI switch between English and Chinese.

What are the visuals and audio made of?

All of it is code: Canvas 2D draws the isometric grid, buildings and HUD, and WebAudio synthesizes the ticks and ambient sound. No image, font or audio files ship with it.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes: tap to place, pinch to zoom, drag to pan. Verified under touch emulation, not on real devices.

Why is there no online generation?

Building a new scene needs a model key inside the sandbox, which the backend doesn’t support yet. Run the Skill with your own agent for now.
