Nightgrid: Build a Relay Outpost by Day, Hold It Through the Night
Wire relay-outpost services into pipelines and keep reputation up through the nightly traffic surge, in one offline HTML file. Place sentries, balancers, handlers and stores on a dark board, link them back to the Uplink and route each kind of request to the right store. Every 60 seconds of daylight turns into a 30-second night that dims the board and raises the request rate; at dawn a card reports what held. Upkeep drains the budget, failures cost reputation, and losing all of it ends the run.
Bring the theme, the service names and the look, and optionally the day/night timing, the survival numbers, the HUD layout and the UI text. The Skill returns a downloadable Skill (the survival-game project, a customize guide, headless verification) and one playable example run.
How it works
Your coding agent copies the working game and follows the customize guide: palette and night darkening, service ids and copy, budget and request ramp, the day/night cycle, adding a service, HUD panels, audio.
Requests enter at the Uplink and move through a bounded queue graph: each service has a capacity, a queue and an upkeep cost, and a request that no service can take is a failure.
The game is played headlessly under the sandbox policy: the menu, a start, a placed and linked pipeline, the invented names, nightfall, requests in the night, dawn, Chinese text and a phone layout.
Frequently asked questions
Does it call a model or need a key?
No. The Skill gives your agent a working game, a customize guide and verification; the game itself makes no network calls and calls no model.
Why is the demo sandboxed?
The frame has an opaque origin and no network access, so the scene can’t read anything from this page or reach the internet.
Can I lose?
Yes. When reputation reaches zero the run ends with a system-failure card.
Where does it come from?
It is built on Server Survival by Kostyantyn Pshenychnyy (MIT). Its simulation, service catalogue, request pipeline, queue and upkeep economics, campaign, sandbox mode and tutorial are his work. We added the relay-outpost names and copy in English and Chinese, the day/night watch cycle with its dusk warning and dawn card, a rearranged HUD, the amber-and-teal look and a synthesised soundtrack, and removed its other languages and audio files.
Does it work on mobile?
The layout fits a phone and taps place tools, but it is built for a mouse. Phone play has not been verified beyond the layout check.
Why is there no online generation?
Building a new scene needs a model key inside the sandbox, which the backend doesn’t support yet. Run the Skill with your own agent for now.
