Star Lane: A 3D Space Shooter from Generated Ships

Describe a setting and get a playable 3D space shooter in it, in one offline HTML file. Your starfighter, the enemy fighters, the turret and the boss are generated textured 3D models; the 360° sky, sounds and music are generated too, all through SandBase. Waves, weapon upgrades, a nova and the boss fights are a finished engine.

Star Lane: A 3D Space Shooter from Generated Ships

Bring a setting, and optionally the four ships, the sky, the palette and the music. The Skill returns a downloadable Skill (the shooter engine, a budgeted 3D asset generator with model compression, verification) and two playable examples with their generated media and billed costs.

How it works

  1. Your coding agent copies the reference game and writes one theme: the copy in English and Chinese, the colours, the light and one prompt per model, sound and the music.

  2. The asset step prints every SandBase call and its worst-case price, refuses a plan over budget, and only spends after you confirm. Run ids are saved at once, so an interrupted run can be recovered without paying again.

  3. The four 3D models are compressed from about 10 MB to under 1.1 MB each, everything is built into one HTML file, and the game is played headlessly: launch, movement, a 60-second autopilot run, a boss close-up, the nova, a crash, retry, mute, Chinese and a phone.

Frequently asked questions

Does it call a model or need a key?

Only while you make a new theme: the asset step calls SandBase models for the four 3D models, the sky, the sounds and the music, through your own SandBase login. The finished game makes no network requests and calls no model.

How much does a game cost?

Both examples cost 1.588 USD in media. The plan is printed first with worst-case prices (about 1.67 USD), and a plan over your budget is refused. Your coding agent’s own tokens are extra.

Why is the demo sandboxed?

The frame has an opaque origin and no network access, so the scene can’t read anything from this page or reach the internet.

Can the enemies be creatures instead of ships?

Yes, if they fly: the generated models are static, so enemies weave, bank and spin procedurally. Anything that reads as a flying object works.

Can I use my own models?

Yes. Put your own GLB files in the theme’s media folder, skip generating those parts, and record where they came from.

Why is there no online generation?

Building a new scene needs a model key inside the sandbox, which the backend doesn’t support yet. Run the Skill with your own agent for now.
