Build Dossier Slides
Make dense site-dossier decks for building work, such as refits, retrofits, renovation programmes, board packs and briefings for residents or parents: Zilla Slab headlines with an accent lead word, small spaced capital labels, picture frames with one cut corner, mustard, clay or lichen panels and a full accent field page, graphite side panels, a hatched footer rule and plus registration marks.
Bring the project, the audience, the decision or briefing, the scope, budget lines and dates to use exactly and the page count; your own photographs are optional. The Skill returns one offline HTML deck that edits in the browser and exports editable PowerPoint.
How it works
Brief and sequence
Your Agent asks for the topic, the audience, what should happen after the talk, the facts and numbers to use exactly and the page count, then gives every page one layout and picks one palette.
Pictures and build
Without your own photographs it lists the plates in plates.json and paints them with plate-paint.py. It writes plan.json and settings.json, then runs kit.py compose, make-deck.py and verify-deck.py to build one offline HTML file.
Look and export
It opens every page in a browser and checks wraps, overlaps and labels, tries edit, undo, save and present, then exports PowerPoint and runs verify-pptx.py against the deck.
Frequently asked questions
Is the PowerPoint really editable?
Yes. Text is native text boxes and every panel, field, frame line, tab, bar and rule is a native shape, with speaker notes. The example decks have 151 and 118 text boxes, no full-page picture and no rendered layer; with every text box removed no text remains.
Where do the pictures come from?
Your own photographs first. Otherwise the bundled plate-paint.py paints flat studio plates in the deck's palette: white study models, steel stairs, tracked machines, invented crew portraits and workers, material close-ups, tools on a bench, a ring sculpture, a building elevation and a drawing sheet. It needs no network and no paid service.
Which fonts does it use?
Zilla Slab Bold for headlines and Archivo Narrow for body text, under the SIL Open Font License. Install them on the presenting machine, otherwise line breaks can change. Chinese, Japanese and Korean use system faces at a reduced size.
What are the known limits?
Cut-corner pictures export already cut, so a picture replaced in PowerPoint becomes a plain rectangle. Accent lead words have low contrast on white with the lighter palettes and are meant only for display-size headlines. The bars are shapes, not a PowerPoint chart object.
What was tested?
Both example decks were built from a fresh unzip of the package. Every page was inspected in Chrome and in a LibreOffice render of the exported PowerPoint, 31 of 31 browser interaction checks passed on each deck, and an internal long-text Chinese deck was built and inspected the same way, and python-pptx edits survived save and reopen. PowerPoint, Keynote and WPS were not opened.
