Margin Ink Slides
Make bold notebook-style decks for pilot reviews, team experiments, proposals and programme readouts: paper-white pages, heavy capitals with one highlighted phrase, small copy in asymmetric islands, loose asterisks, a fine-pen figure on every page and a native results table.
Bring what you tried, the audience, the results and numbers to use exactly, what you are asking for and the page count; pictures optional. The Skill returns one offline HTML deck that edits in the browser and exports editable PowerPoint.
How it works
Brief and sequence
Your Agent asks for the topic, the audience, what should happen after the talk, the facts and numbers to use exactly and the page count, then gives every page one layout and picks one palette.
Pictures and build
Without your own pictures it describes them in figures.json and draws them with ink-figures.py, writes plan.json and settings.json, then runs kit.py compose, apply-palette.py, make-deck.py and verify-deck.py to build one offline HTML file.
Look and export
It opens every page in a browser and checks wraps, overlaps and labels, tries edit, undo, save and present, then exports PowerPoint and runs verify-pptx.py against the deck.
Frequently asked questions
Is the PowerPoint really editable?
Yes. Headlines, text islands, step numbers, footers, folios, rules and the callout block are native text and shapes, and the results table is a native PowerPoint table, with speaker notes. Each figure and asterisk is one picture. No picture covers the full slide, and with all text removed no copy remains in any picture.
Where do the pictures come from?
From you first. Otherwise the bundled ink-figures.py draws scenes from figures.json: people from ten poses, seven hair shapes and eleven held objects, plus twenty things such as bulbs, rockets, gears, whiteboards, ladders, bars and paths. Output is deterministic, never contains lettering and needs no network, model or image service.
Which fonts does it use?
Hanken Grotesk 900 for the headlines and Karla for copy, both under the SIL Open Font License and embedded in the HTML. Install them on the presenting machine for matching line breaks in PowerPoint. Chinese, Japanese and Korean use the system face.
What are the known limits?
Some poses (kneeling, sitting, climbing) read schematically, and a limb or flag can overlap another figure or object; no text is affected. Text boxes in PowerPoint keep a fixed size, so words added to a headline grow down into the copy below. Empty lines inside one text block are not kept in PowerPoint. Light accents such as Marigold are for display type only.
What was tested?
Both example decks were built from a fresh unzip of the package. Every page was inspected in Chrome and in a LibreOffice render of the exported PowerPoint, 31 browser interaction checks passed on each deck, and python-pptx edits survived save and reopen. PowerPoint, Keynote and WPS were not opened.
