Seedream 5.0 Flash Text to Image

POST/v1/run

Seedream 5.0 Flash is ByteDance's fast, low-cost Seedream 5.0 tier for high-volume text-to-image generation, with roughly 15–20 second turnaround and one flat price per image.

Request body

Submit an async generation request. The model field selects the model; other fields are model-specific input parameters.

Model identifier. Set to bytedance/seedream/5.0/flash.

The text prompt to generate an image from.

Default: Search for the popular elegant penguin meme, the penguin dons an all-black tactical techwear suit and narrow-frame futuristic sunglasses, riding a matte silver-black checkered manta ray flying vehicle; metal braided ropes, polar snowstorm backdrop, surreal futuristic techwear style, commercial fashion blockbuster aesthetic, high-definition with strong dynamic tension.

Optional<string>aspect_ratio

The aspect ratio of the generated image.

Allowed values: 21:9, 16:9, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4, 2:3, 9:16

Default: 1:1

Optional<string>output_format

The format of the generated image.

Allowed values: jpeg, png

Default: png

Response Schema

The submit endpoint returns a run response. If its status is pending or running, poll GET /v1/run/{id} with the returned opaque ID until it reaches a terminal state.

Allowed values: pending, running, completed, failed, timeout

Public SandBase model name used for this run.

Present only for failed or timeout runs. Contains a public error type and sanitized message.

Stable public error category.

Optional<string>error.message

Sanitized error message safe to show to clients.
