Seedance 2.5 Reference to Video
/v1/runByteDance's next-generation reference-to-video model, generating video from multimodal references (images, videos, audio) and locking a character, set, and palette across a full take up to 30 seconds for production-grade consistency.
Request body
Submit an async generation request. The model field selects the model; other fields are model-specific input parameters.
Model identifier. Set to bytedance/seedance/2.5/reference-to-video.
Default: bytedance/seedance/2.5/reference-to-video
The text prompt to generate a video from.
Default: Use Image1 as the visual reference and Video1 as the motion reference. Create a peaceful cinematic shoreline scene with rolling ocean waves at golden hour, soft foam, natural water movement, and no people.
The URLs of reference images to guide video generation. Refer to them in the prompt as @Image1, @Image2, etc.
The URLs of reference videos to guide video generation. Up to 10 MP4 or MOV files; combined duration must not exceed 30 seconds.
The URLs of reference audio files to guide video generation.
The duration of the generated video in seconds (4-30).
Allowed values: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
Default: 5
The aspect ratio of the generated video.
Allowed values: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9
The resolution of the video to generate.
Allowed values: 480p, 720p
Default: 720p
Whether to generate synchronized audio (voice, SFX, BGM) for the video.
Default: true
Response Schema
The submit endpoint returns an accepted generation task. Poll the result endpoint with the returned id for terminal outputs or errors.
Error message if the task failed. Empty on success.
Unique identifier for the generation task.
Model ID used for the prediction.
Array of generated content. Empty when status is not completed.
Status of the task: pending, running, completed, failed, or timeout.
Allowed values: pending, running, completed, failed, timeout

Capabilities declared by the model registry.
