Meshy 7.1 Text to 3D

POST/v1/run

Meshy 7.1 generates a textured, optionally rigged and animated 3D model from a text prompt.

Request body

Submit an async generation request. The model field selects the model; other fields are model-specific input parameters.

Describe what kind of object the 3D model is. Maximum 600 characters.

Seed for reproducible results.

Text prompt to guide texturing.

a-pose, t-pose or empty for none.

Optional<boolean>enable_animation

Apply an animation preset; requires enable_rigging (+$0.12).

Optional<boolean>enable_pbr

Generate PBR maps (metallic, roughness, normal).

Default: false

Optional<integer>target_polycount

Target polygon count (100–300,000).

Range: 100 to 300000

Default: 30000

Optional<string>topology

quad for smooth surfaces, triangle for detail.

Allowed values: quad, triangle

Default: triangle

Optional<string>model_type

standard, lowpoly or smart-topology.

Allowed values: standard, lowpoly, smart-topology

Default: standard

Optional<boolean>enable_rigging

Rig the model as a humanoid character (+$0.20).

Default: false

Optional<string>geometry_resolution

Geometry resolution.

Allowed values: standard, 2k, 4k

Default: standard

Optional<string>texture_image

Image URL to guide texturing.

Response Schema

The submit endpoint returns a run response. If its status is pending or running, poll GET /v1/run/{id} with the returned opaque ID until it reaches a terminal state.

Opaque SandBase run identifier. Use it exactly as returned; no prefix is guaranteed.

Current public run status.

Allowed values: pending, running, completed, failed, timeout

Optional<string>model

Public SandBase model name used for this run.

Optional<array<object>>outputs

Present only for completed runs. Each object is capability-specific; inspect the selected model schema for its fields.

Optional<object>error

Present only for failed or timeout runs. Contains a public error type and sanitized message.

Optional<string>error.type

Stable public error category.

Optional<string>error.message

Sanitized error message safe to show to clients.

Usage details when available.
