Meshy 6 Preview
/v1/runMeshy V6 Preview by Meshy - convert 2D images into 3D models with AI. Generate textured 3D assets from single photos for games, AR/VR, e-commerce, and digital content creation.
Request body
Submit an async generation request. The model field selects the model; other fields are model-specific input parameters.
Model identifier. Set to meshy/meshy-v6-preview.
Default: meshy/meshy-v6-preview
Image URL or base64 data URI for 3D model creation. Supports .jpg, .jpeg, and .png formats. Also supports AVIF and HEIF formats which will be automatically converted.
Automatically rig the generated model as a humanoid character. Includes basic walking and running animations. Best results with humanoid characters that have clearly defined limbs.
Default: false
Pose mode for the generated model. 'a-pose' generates an A-pose, 't-pose' generates a T-pose, empty string for no specific pose.
Allowed values: a-pose, t-pose,
Default:
Animation preset ID from Meshy's library (500+ presets). Only used when enable_animation is true. See https://docs.meshy.ai/en/api/animation-library for available action IDs.
Default: 1001
Specify the topology of the generated model. Quad for smooth surfaces, Triangle for detailed geometry.
Allowed values: quad, triangle
Default: triangle
Deprecated: use pose_mode instead. When true, generates a T-pose model.
Default: false
Generate PBR Maps (metallic, roughness, normal) in addition to base color
Default: false
Apply an animation preset to the rigged model. Requires enable_rigging to be true.
Default: false
Text prompt to guide the texturing process
Controls symmetry behavior during model generation. Off disables symmetry, Auto determines it automatically, On enforces symmetry.
Allowed values: off, auto, on
Default: auto
Target number of polygons in the generated model
Range: 100 to 300000
Default: 30000
Whether to enable the remesh phase
Default: true
Approximate height of the character in meters. Only used when enable_rigging is true.
Default: 1.7
2D image to guide the texturing process
Whether to generate textures
Default: true
Response Schema
The submit endpoint returns a run response. If its status is pending or running, poll GET /v1/run/{id} with the returned opaque ID until it reaches a terminal state.
Opaque SandBase run identifier. Use it exactly as returned; no prefix is guaranteed.
Current public run status.
Allowed values: pending, running, completed, failed, timeout
Public SandBase model name used for this run.
Present only for completed runs. Each object is capability-specific; inspect the selected model schema for its fields.
Present only for failed or timeout runs. Contains a public error type and sanitized message.
Stable public error category.
Sanitized error message safe to show to clients.
Usage details when available.
Model capabilities
Capabilities declared by the model registry.
Default: image-to-3d
Execution mode declared by the model registry.
Default: async
