Grok Imagine Video Extend

POST/v1/run

Grok Imagine Video Extend is xAI's video-to-video AI model. Transform, enhance, and edit video content using text prompts - from style changes to object manipulation and scene modification.

Request body

Submit an async generation request. The model field selects the model; other fields are model-specific input parameters.

Model identifier. Set to xai/grok-imagine-video/extend.

Default: xai/grok-imagine-video/extend

stringpromptrequired

Text description of what should happen next in the video.

Optional<string>video

URL of the source video to extend. Must be MP4 format (H.264, H.265, or AV1 codec), 2-15 seconds long.

Optional<integer>duration

Length of the extension in seconds.

Range: 2 to 10

Default: 6

Response Schema

The submit endpoint returns an accepted generation task. Poll the result endpoint with the returned id for terminal outputs or errors.

Optional<string>error

Error message if the task failed. Empty on success.

Model ID used for the prediction.

Optional<array>outputs

Array of generated content. Empty when status is not completed.
